Our organic farm is surrounded by vineyards and apple orchards in the middle of the Etsch valley distancing approximately 15 kilometres from the cities Merano and Bolzano. We produce red and white grapes of the varieties Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Chardonnay and Souvignier gris. In addition you find us growing apples and many other, often also rare, types of fruits, vegetables and herbs. During your stay we welcome you to try and buy our products, such as apple juice, applesauce, wine and seasonal produce.

Knottenkino

The viewpoint is equipped with 30 cinema seats made out of steel and wood and invites you to enjoy the view of the whole valley like a movie in the cinema. “Knottn” means rocks in our dialect, and “Kino” is the German word for cinema.

Nals and surroundings

Settling has been going on in Nals since before the Romans. During the late Middle Ages the town especially bloomed. At least one could suppose admiring the numerous castles in the area like the Schwanburg, which was built in the 16th century. If you ever wanted to enjoy a meal in a castle you have a good chance at the Stachelburg which was built in the early renaissance and nowadays functions as a restaurant. Following up the mountain you can find the ruin of the castle Pfeffersburg built in the 13th century and surrounded by some beautiful hiking trails. Last but not least, Schloss Payersberg, ideal to have a beautiful view of the whole valley. Visit them all if you can! But you should also consider visiting the other astonishing castles, churches and historical buildings in the neighborhood of Nals.

Natural Bath Gargazon

The Natural Bath has to offer a beautiful ecological swimming pool and is surrounded by a beautiful relaxing area filled with plants that cleanse the water naturally. There is no usage of chemical substances. You can reach the Natural Bath easily also by bike following the bicycle track beside the Etsch.

Castle Tyrol

Castle Tyrol is the most historically significant castle in South Tyrol. Its construction began in the 12th century and was for many years the family seat of the Counts of Tyrol. Nowadays, the South Tyrolean Museum of Culture and Provincial History is situated inside and on the outskirts you can also find the centre for birds of prey with their action filled show, where you can see most of the notorious local raptors in action.

In the year 2019 the construction of our farm was finished and so we fulfilled ourselves a long sought for dream. The house is a certified “KlimaHaus Nature”, connecting modern architecture with the simple sublimity of nature. Energy efficiency, sustainability and the naturalness of the used resources were essential for us to create a comfortable and healthy atmosphere in the living spaces.

Our farm is multigenerational and we benefit a lot from this symbiosis between young and old where past and future combine to enhance the present. We want our dear guests to experience the same during their stay in one of our two apartments.
